Transformer

This I did for a friend at work. This was a fun one for me. I got to play around with new coloring technique. I had this cake planned in my head for a while. I was going to do it for another friend but she changed her mind. When my friend at work heard about it she had to have it for her son. He loved the cake, even though he doesn't really like Transformers(I found that out after the fact).

I used silver edible paint to give it the metal look. Thanks Lisea for the tips!!!!

Panda Bear

This was for a friend. We couldn't decide what to do for him, since it was a surprise we couldn't ask him either. We combined all the things he liked. Panda Bears, the Evolution movie, and music. He was shocked at his cake. He is also a pastry cook so it was a little intimidating to make him a cake when he did it for a profession. But he said it was really good, I made his birthday happy and that is all the matters to me.

Care Bear

So for one of my really good friends I made him this care bear. I know there is no such thing as a Sweet and Low Care Bear, But in our world there is. I know no one will understand this but it makes us laugh really hard every time. I found spray paint for cakes, that is how I got the bear so vibrant. I love this cake, it has got to be one of my favorites.

Lightning McQueen

So for one of my friends sons he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake. I decided to make a race track for him. I put Doc and Guido in the pit stop. He loved it!!

Lake Powell

This is my Lake Powell cake. This is the ENTIRE family favorite place in the whole world. So for my niece I decided to bring it home in an edible form. Even though there are no blow fishes or sea turtles in Lake Powell they came with the Polly Pocket set. the random chocolate wafer is for the ramp onto the boat, Grandpa didn't like it not represented.

Dinosaur

This was my dinosaur cake. My nephew wanted a dinosaur cake so I thought to add the volcano but his dad decided to ask his little sister to sacrifice a polly pocket, she was more then willing to. So I used the cherry sauce for blood and cut her apart.

Yes that is her arm floating down the river!!!

Princess

This is my princess cake. My niece LOVED it. I went and got a castle kit from the store. It was fun, I like trying new things. Some of it is paper, like the road. In the end the 3 year old was happy!!

The ducks

This is the first attempt at the ducks. I got done and wasn't happy with it. I felt like it was missing something. So I set it aside and started cleaning up my mess trying to figure out what it needed. Then it his me........ A SAND CASTLE!!! But how, hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So... I used my "sand" added a little butter used my cake tips for the form and made a sand castle. It is the first and most likely the last one I will ever make that actually stays standing. My niece loved it, and now has three awesome ducks to play with, what more could you ask for.

True Feelings on V-Day

So this is how I really feel about Valentines day....I imagine Quipped flying around pooping on everyone!!!!! No just kidding! I am taking a decorating class and the instructor told us to practice at home. So I made a cake with my assistant(my niece). To decorate it I figured I would be festive. The only cookie cutter I could find that was valentinish was the Quipped. After I did the million stars that fill him my niece decided we weren't done, so I figured I could practice my dots. NOT paying attention to where I started practicing I went for it, then, I got board with the dots. My niece wanted her familys name on there, so I comply as I always do, and TA DA we are finished. So I tell my niece to go get her mom and dad and tell them it is time for cake and her mother tells me "it looks like quipped is pooping!" Then she made me take a picture of it and post it. So here is my node to Valentines day. Enjoy!!!!

Barn

I had a request for a cowgirl with a horse and a cowboy with a cow... and this is what I came up with. The cake is actually 3 cakes all together, Super heavy. The kids loved it and couldn't stop looking at it.

This is the close up. The funny lumps that are a little different color of green are supposed to be hay bells. And yes, I know the walls are falling. Papa said it is just an old barn that needed to be eaten, and that is what we did to it.

I almost forgot I need to give credit to the people that helped me with this monstrosity............ Hilary, Brian, and Papa. Thank you for helping me make an awesome cake.

Snowman

This sucker was huge!!!! It was 25 inch tall 9 inch wide and had to way about 20 pounds!! AAAHHHHHH!!!!! But it was fun.

This is my snow man cake. My aunts birthday is the day after Christmas and she loves snowmen, so this is what I did Christmas night. It snowed really bad so we couldn't have our party. I am glad I had something else to entertain me.
